Mindfulness-Based Stress Management Coaching
Stress Management Coaching benefits anyone with medical, emotional or psychological symptoms related to stress as well as anyone who is feeling stressed, overwhelmed, out of balance, facing life transition issues, such as new mothers seeking work and life balance, and for those who want to optimize their own health and well-being.
You'll learn how to the tools of mindfulness and breath awareness to your life to enable more awareness, informed choices, rest and relaxation in every moment. You will also learn how to be with difficult emotions, situations and people more easefully with mindfulness and mind body techniques.

Andrea trains Health Professionals internationally in the intervention of Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) with the founder of the program, Jean Kristeller, PhD. and offers MB-EAT workshops to the general public. She also offers interactive 4 month online MB-EAT and Mindful Living professional trainings several times a year.
Andrea offers phone and web-based coaching, Professional Training and Mentoring Programs in MB-EAT, Mindful Eating and Mindful Living leading to certification. CEU's available.
Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT), developed by Jean Kristeller, addresses mindless eating, stress-related eating, disordered eating patterns, and obesity through the aplication of mindfulness meditation. This workshop for health-care professionals provides intensive training in the application of MB-EAT in clinical settings.
Informed by Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) work, and basic principles of food intake regulation, and supported by evidence from NIH-supported clinical trials MB-EAT program employs mindfulness meditation, experiential eating exercises, didactic instruction and self-reflection to cultivate mindful awareness and a more balanced, positive relationship to eating and weight.
Throughout this training, we use demonstration, role-play, simulated exercises and discussions to cover the themes, material and exercises in the MB-EAT program. We also deepen our own mindfulness practice through daily meditation practice, eating meditations, body awareness and movement meditations along with a half-day silent retreat.

In these contemplative weekend retreats, we will learn how to pay attention to what our body really needs and why. Through the practice of deepening our inner awareness of the body and mind, we will experience wisdom and compassion, which is our true nature. When we eat mindfully, we involve all the senses by engaging our body and our mind. Mindful eating can nudge us beyond what we’re craving so that we wake up to why we’re craving it.
Mindful Eating Meditation Retreats
What is it?
This weekend contemplative retreat will focus on the meditation practices of Mindful Eating with particular emphasis on gratitude as we enter into the holiday season. When we eat mindfully we involve all the senses by engaging our body and our mind. We utilize color, texture, smell, taste, and sound to nurture our experience. We learn to pay attention to what our body really needs and why. By focusing on the many beings involved in food production and how dependent we are on others for our nourishment we can develop gratitude for others.
How it Works:
To support cultivating our awareness, we will quiet the mind and open the heart through yoga, sitting and walking meditation. Through these practices of deepening our inner awareness of the body and mind we will experience wisdom and compassion, which is our true nature. We can experience food as pleasure and nourishment while finding our right relationship to amount and quality in each moment. Mindful eating can nudge us beyond what we’re craving so that we wake up to why we’re craving it.
This retreat has been approved to offer continuing education units to mental health care providers.

Weekend MB-EAT Retreats for the General Public
For everyone; no previous meditation experience is required.
Experience a new approach to eating, one that cultivates inner wisdom through a variety of mindful eating practices and guided meditations. National Institutes of Health-funded research has shown Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness to be a powerful approach to addressing mindless eating that leads to struggling with weight, obesity, and disordered eating patterns.
In this workshop, you learn
- A way to eat that is more attuned to your body’s needs
- To experience the full pleasure and taste of food without overeating
- Ways to release the guilt and struggle often associated with dieting.
This weekend includes sitting meditation, eating meditations, group discussion and gentle yoga exercises to heighten awareness and deepen understanding of mindfulness as it applies to eating and joyful living. You will also explore current nutrition and exercise guidelines. The tools you take home can help you make more balanced and healthy choices in your life and be truly nourished by the food you eat.

Mindfulness Based Yoga Instruction
Andrea teaches Mindful Flow yoga classes and offers private instruction with special rates for groups and families. She has been teaching Mindfulness-Based Yoga since 1993. She is certified in Integrative Yoga Therapy and a registered instructor with Yoga Alliance.
